Shooting Stars will perform more songs as well as the ability to enter local competitions. Children attending this workshop will need to work on songs or acting pieces in between workshops.
I am excited to introduce myself as the driving force behind this exciting adventure. I am deeply passionate about nurturing young talent and igniting the spark of creativity found within every child.
All my life music has been the very essence of my being. From the moment I could speak, I found solace, joy, and inspiration in music. I danced and sang my heart out!
Studying Music & Drama at A Level to then go on to begin a Performing Arts Degree the creative part of the world has always been something that I gained great enjoyment from. In my younger years, I had the pleasure of touring with a gospel chamber choir performing all over the country. I have joined different theatrical companies and my real love is being in numerous Panto’s where the joy of ad libing can be thoroughly enjoyed.
Mum of 2 beautiful children gave me a new desire to share my passion with the next generation. This led me to running a youth choir at my daughter’s school for almost 2 years before setting up Little Stars.
About Me
That was it – from then onwards I was hooked! It had become clear that guiding children through the enchanting world of music was my love, purpose and my calling.
Choir concerts soon led me to creating a show! It was here where I witnessed first-hand the tremendous impact that musical theatre had on these young minds. It goes beyond the spotlight and the applause. It empowered them, it instilled confidence in those who were once so shy. Seeing them so proud in that moment made me prouder! It was in that moment I knew I wanted to give the magic of the stage to give the power to shape the future children!
In this after-school club, we will embark on thrilling journeys through captivating stories brought to life by our young stars.
I am beyond excited to embark on this journey with you and your child, witnessing the wonders that unfold as they step into the spotlight. Together, let us create a future where music and theatre are cherished, and where the world is forever touched by the brilliance of our young stars.

Inspiring Workshops:
Each workshop blends various performing arts disciplines, including acting through song, with engaging activities and exercises children are encouraged to explore their individuality and express themselves freely.
Small & Personal:
A small team with 1 workshop leader who is passionate and dedicated to creating a safe and supportive atmosphere where children can thrive.
Appropriate Classes:
Understanding the importance of tailoring workshops to the specific needs, abilities and experience of each child. Nurturing the child’s journey to ensure that they can progress through Little Stars as they grow in confidence.
Fun and Engaging Performances:
Having the opportunity to showcase their talents through exciting performances and productions is so important. From small-scale informal concerts to formal recitals and fun show on a stage! All this helps build confidence, instil a sense of accomplishment and create memories that last a lifetime.
Teamwork:
Performing arts provides children with opportunities to work collaboratively towards a common goal. Children learn to: listen, compromise, and value the contributions of others. They develop skills in negotiation, adaptability, and conflict resolution, which are essential for success in various aspects of life.
Convenient and Safe Facilities:
By being located at your child’s school, it means that it is somewhere they feel safe and at home. This will allow them to be in workshops with people they already have relationships with.
Boosting Confidence:
Performing in front of an audience builds confidence like no other activity. Stepping onto a stage requires courage and self-assurance. As children conquer their fears and showcase their abilities, they gain a sense of achievement that boosts their self-esteem. The applause and recognition received from an audience serve as validation and encouragement, empowering children to believe in themselves and their capabilities.
Developing Communication Skills:
Musical Theatre encourages children to articulate their thoughts, emotions, and ideas effectively. Children can learn to convey messages and narratives with clarity and expression. They develop the ability to communicate non-verbally, using body language, facial expressions, and gestures to tell stories and convey emotions. These skills extend beyond the stage and positively impact their interpersonal relationships, public speaking abilities, and overall communication skills.
Auditions
Each September we hold auditions to join the Shooting Stars team. This is not meant to be a daunting process but it is a great way to enable children to showcase their commitment to learning a song and delivering it within a timeframe infant of others. It is important that children feel that they have EARNT their place and being part of this team is sometihng to be celebrated as an achievement . For those not quite ready to join the team they can instead attend our Rising Stars workshop.
Audition Material:
This term’s auditions will be held on 13th September at 3.15pm. The children will be singing ‘Row Row Row Your Boat’ in a round and 1 verse of their choice of My Favourite Things. Backing track:
It will involve lots of group singing and warm ups before they sing on their own and is operated in a fun manner to ensure everyone feels comfortable.
Entry letters will be given to those who get through auditions. All team members need to re audtiiton each year and are not guaranteed a place due to getting one previously. It all depends on who auditions (only the best 22 get placed.)

She has made such a difference to my sons self-confidence in singing; she teaches children how to beleive in themselves while they are having the best time! The performances are packed full of beaming faces from the stage and audience with brilliant little surprises all the way. Suzanna always goes the extra mile and works so hard to deliver a fun, but challenging programme. Thank you for ALL the music - you are the best role model for our little stars!
